Continue from the context that matters
A continuation should feel connected to what came before. Give the model the current situation, the characters involved, the important facts and the unresolved tension. That context is more useful than simply asking for another chapter because it tells the AI what must stay consistent.
Choose what should change next
You can guide the next scene without scripting every line. Decide whether the chapter should deepen a relationship, introduce a complication, slow the pace or move toward a payoff. A clear destination gives the story structure while still leaving room for surprising details.
Protect character voice and continuity
Longer stories become more convincing when personalities, relationships and previous events remain stable. Keep the defining traits and key facts visible, especially when a new chapter depends on something established earlier.
Explore a different path when you want one
If the first continuation is not the direction you imagined, try another version instead of discarding the whole story. You can compare different turns, keep the version that works and continue from there.
